Capturing Karina and Josh's wedding at Gracelands was an absolute delight. Nestled in the charming suburb of Forresters Beach, Gracelands proved once again why it's one of my favourite venues to photograph. The intimate and meticulously designed space provided the perfect backdrop for this special day. The attentive staff added to the seamless experience, ensuring every detail was in place. The bride and groom, Karina and Josh, radiated pure joy as they exchanged their vows in a place that held immense sentimental value for them. Gracelands had been more than just a venue; it had been the very place where their paths crossed, thanks to their dear friend Tahnee's matchmaking. As I clicked away, I couldn't help but feel privileged to document such a heartwarming love story intertwined with the significance of this remarkable location.

Tell me about your ‘The Beginning’

“We met at a friends wedding in 2012. Tahnee is my (Josh) friend from school and, at the time, was Karina's boss. Tahnee purposely sat us next to each other at the wedding. Karina got my number while at the wedding and we started talking from there. It wasn't until a year after the wedding that we started officially dating after our first date of ice cream on the beach at Terrigal.”

When and where did you get engaged?

“26th August 2018, I took Karina for a picnic at Somersby Falls and popped the question while down the bottom of the falls.”

What style/theme have you chosen for your Gracelands Wedding?

“Autumn Botanical vibes.”

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

“For Josh: Watching Karina walk down the aisle. For Karina: Getting hitched.”
