Claudia & Daniel’s Sydney Wedding - The Mint & 12 Micron
Tell me about your The Beginning! “We met in Year 1. We were friends. Claudia left after Year 1, and came back in Year 6. Year 12 came along, became friends again. Started dating after HSC” When and where did you get engaged? “24/11/2023 - Observatory Hill” How did you come to choose your venue? “We liked the outdoor setting of The Mint and the architecture of 12-Micron”
Lee & Jamey’s Wollongong Wedding - Photography at Sandon Point
How did you come to choose your venue? “Jamey had asked me to be his girlfriend back in 2020 whilst we were at the lookout at sublime point. I wanted a wedding by the beach and it was only fitting that we get married overlooking the same view at Panorama house.”
Claire & Tom’s Wedding - Glenalvon House & Rydges Campbelltown
“We knew each other loosely through uni (we studied the same course) and initially met up to write a screenplay together, with nothing but the utmost professionalism in mind. But we really hit it off, so I asked Tom out to see a movie for "research purposes" and the rest is history. We got engaged at Campbelltown Rotary Observatory in December 2023.”
Katey & Blair’s Wedding at Gracelands, Forresters Beach, Central Coast
“We got engaged just after sunrise at Norah Head near the lighthouse on Christmas Day - 25/12/2021. We found Gracelands via social media and loved our first visit there! Beautiful venue, love how close the venue is to the beach and love that the ceremony and reception is all in one.”
Mikaela & Harry’s Backyard Wedding at Davistown on the Central Coast
“We got engaged at the same place went on our first date to Barrenjoey Headland. I tried to keep it a secret from Mikaela but she suspicious because I told her not to look in the bank account after buying the ring about two weeks earlier. I was also really sick and felt like I was about to die after walking up the hill for the engagement. Why did you choose to have your wedding in Davistown? The venue is Harry's parents place where we have been spending a fair bit of time on weekends in recent years.”
Rowanne & Jai’s Wedding at Twin Creeks Golf Club
“Venues are the biggest cost of your wedding day, so it was important for us to find a place that didn't feel like a sausage factory, trying to squeeze you for every dollar and staff that are really passionate about hospitality and making sure your wedding day is perfect for you and your guests. We chose Paradiso Receptions in Liverpool, we loved how inclusive they were with what they provide which would've normally costed extra anywhere else. It was also important for us to stay local and choose a venue close to where we grew up, in Western Sydney.”
Jade’s & Nathan’s Wedding at Panorama House, Bulli Tops
“I had been planning to propose to Jade for a while. It wasn't until 3 months out where I found the courage to reach out to her closest friends to help me. The plan went well. Jade always said she wanted the proposal to be a surprise. Her friends and I had planned that they would take her for a day of pampering. To get her nails done and go out to dinner with her friends. The location was Palm Beach. Her friends wanted to go look at the view across the road from their restaurant. And there I was, ready to walk her down to the where I had set up a picnic matt, candles, roses and a MARRY ME sign! Thank God she said yes! Would've been a weird hour drive home hahaha.”
Renae & Anita’s Wedding at Bennelong, Sydney Opera House
“Anita proposed to Renae over a glass of bubbles outside of the Opera House. Not long after she asked, a sky writer posted the words 'marry me' in the sky above. It was serendipitous timing and certainly gave us a giggle. Someone paid good money for that sign writing. It was meant to be! A couple of weeks later Renae proposed to Anita on our anniversary at Bangalay Villas at Shoalhaven - with the room set up with a nice surprise of flowers, candles and lots of love on their arrival!”
Georgia & Jack’s Wedding at Summer Hill
“Jack and I met when we were at school. Although I tried to stay away from him because he was quite loud, he couldn't stay far enough away. Towards the end of school, we started attending the same church and it was our trips to church and some long facetime calls where we really got to know one another. ”
Emma & Matt’s Wedding at The Juniors, Maroubra
“Me and Matt met at a party through friends, and after hanging out as friends for a while he asked me out! On our first date we had Italian food for dinner, then had a drink at a local pub, then we went to Matt's place to watch a movie. As we were watching he turned to me and asked me to be his girlfriend, and I of course said yes!””
Nathan & Issy’s Wedding at Balmain Sailing Club
“Nath’s profile caught Issy’s eye from the bio of “Food, wine and bad financial decisions - often all at once. Looking for someone to work through my list of restaurants with”. While Nath distinctly remembers Issy’s saying “More Than A Woman by the Bee Gees is the soundtrack to my inner monologue”. After a few false starts, they finally arranged a time to share a wine together. Returning to The Dolphin, what was originally scoped as a quick drink one day in early January, escalated into many hours of conversation and multiple bottles of wine. The rest was history.”
Kylie & David’s Wedding at the Pill Factory, Bundanoon
“We should have met so many times. We even went to the same uni and did similar courses (Dave did TV production and I did journalism) but Dave went to uni a few years after me and we missed each other. I still can't believe we didn't meet. We worked in many of the same places. But we finally met in 2021. It was post the first COVID lockdown.”
Roxana & Andrew’s Wedding at the Atrium, Grounds of Alexandria
“Last Saturday was a special one as I had the pleasure of photographing Andrew & Roxana's wedding at the beautiful Grounds of Alexandria. Their day was all about intimate charm, set in the lush greenery of the Atrium with just their nearest and dearest by their side.
The ceremony, officiated by Marry Me Zoe, was an absolute highlight, filled with moments that had everyone in stitches. It was a perfect reflection of Andrew & Roxana's love story, adding a touch of humor and warmth to the day.”
Emily & Liam’s Wedding at the Rose Garden, Royal Botanic Gardens
“We met 10 years ago when we both worked at Subway! I was definitely the better employ but he brought the fun. We were friends for a few years before we started dating and have never looked back. When and where did you get engaged? We got engaged on a beach in the south coast. Liam asked me to marry him as the sun was rising over the ocean. The beach is one of our favourite places so it was perfect!”
Jade & Kyle’s Wedding at Panorama House, Bulli
“He laughed, gave me the 'what the hell' look, and looked away. I don't know what it was but that made me want to dance with him, so I smiled and said let’s go dance. We danced the rest of the night together and we also had our first kiss and I got his Snapchat. After that night we continued to Snapchat each other and he made me feel giddy. A week later I asked him on a date. He asked what I wanted to do and I said something simple and we could just go to the beach. Little did I know he hated the beach, and instead he took me bowling (Kyle does tenpin bowling competitively on a weekly basis so of course he had to show off his skills).”
Mark & Anthony’s Wedding at the Winery, Surry Hills
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing the beautiful wedding of Mark and Anthony, who chose to commemorate their 6th anniversary with a unique and intimate celebration. The picturesque setting for this special day was none other than "the winery" in Surry Hills. Opting for a more personal affair, the couple decided to share their joyous occasion exclusively with their closest friends and family, including the adorable addition of their dog, George. The pair tied the knot during the flawlessly orchestrated ceremony led by the talented Marry me Zoe, whose performance had everyone in fits of laughter. It truly set the tone for an unforgettable celebration of Mark and Anthony's love story.
Lucy & Simon’s Waterside Wedding at Pasadena, Sydney
Hey folks, just wrapped up my first wedding gig of the season, and let me tell you, it was a blast capturing Lucy & Simon's big day at the awesome Pasadena Sydney venue.
Now, get this – it wasn't their first rodeo. These lovebirds had not one, but two previous weddings, starting with an elopement in Byron Bay and another shindig in the UK. This time around, they decided to wrap it up Down Under, giving a nod to their Aussie mates and their shared love for the water and sailing.
We kicked off the festivities with a boat ride around Church Point. Bubbles were popped, champagne flowed, and I found myself hanging off the side of the boat to snag some killer shots. A definite highlight in my wedding photography career.
Ella & Matt’s Backyard Wedding in Bilpin
Ella and Matt's wedding marked the grand finale of my photography season. The setting was nothing short of magical, as the couple chose the private property of their dear friend Corey as the backdrop for both their ceremony and reception. Tucked away at the back of the property, a small gathering of 30 close friends and family witnessed Ella and Matt tie the knot.
Once the 'I dos' were said and hugs were dished out, we took a little road trip to an Airbnb for some private vow action and a sweet photoshoot. Watching Ella and Matt spill their hearts out to each other was like catching a glimpse of something truly magical. After the lovey-dovey stuff, we headed back to the party, where more friends had joined the crew.
Chanice & Lachlan’s Wedding at Mollymook Golf Club
Photographing Chanice and Lachlan's beach wedding at Mollymook Golf Club was an absolute blast! The setting was dreamy with the beach vibes and the elegant backdrop of the golf club. Chanice and Lachlan, the stars of the day, exchanged vows with the sound of the waves serenading their love story. What made this wedding unforgettable was the amazing energy of the bridal party. From the giggles during the prep to the tear-jerking moments in the ceremony, you could feel the happiness in the air. Every photo I snapped seemed to capture the genuine joy that surrounded the couple on their special day. It was more than just a gig; it was a front-row seat to a love-filled celebration, and I felt lucky to be a part of it.
Louise & Ben’s Wedding at Willie the Boatman, St Peters
Capturing Louise and Ben's wedding at Willie the Boatman, nestled in the vibrant Inner-west of Sydney, was a photographer's dream come true. The brewery's unique and cool ambience provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that exuded a laid-back and fun vibe. The extended canapes, photobooth, and the enchanting glow of fairy lights added to the magical atmosphere. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly photographing Louise and Ben's couples portraits. This down-to-earth couple radiated genuine love and joy, making the photos a true reflection of their personalities. The entire celebration was a blend of uniqueness, warmth, and a touch of coolness that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the couple and the venue.
