Rustic Elegance and Laid-Back Vibes: Capturing Brooke & Matt's Urban Winery Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Brooke and Matt's wedding at the Urban Winery, a charming rustic venue nestled within the heart of the city. The wedding exuded a unique and fun atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple's personalities. With beer pong games in the laneway and a magical ambience created by decorative fairy lights, the day had a cool, laid-back vibe that made everyone feel at ease. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Tell me about your ‘The Beginning’

“Matt and I met initially when we were both working as nurses at different hospitals, he came to help at my work as a medical company rep. Our two hospitals then closed and merged into a new one, and we worked together for around a year as friends first, before beginning to hang out together on weekends. Our relationship became public by accident at our work christmas party 3 months later!”

When and where did you get engaged?

“We got engaged at home, I arrived home from work in a rage after being stuck in peak hour traffic, where Matt had left a glass of champagne at the front door, with a note to follow the rose petals he had laid down the hallway to our bedroom. In the room he was kneeling on the ground with our dog Rowdy, who had an engagement ring tied to his collar. He let Rowdy go, who shook at my feet and the ring went flying, and Matt then asked if I would marry him. Very unexpected and a total surprise!”
