Tell me about your ‘The Beginning’
“(BRIDES POV) - It was early January 2019 (I think it was the 3rd), I went to the Illawarra Hotel on a Thursday night with a few girlfriends for a few drinks (I was 18). A friend of mine at the time was friends with a guy who Kyle was at the Illa with. We were all dancing together as a group and he asked me to dance. I remember thinking, no way, first of all, it’s a girl’s night, no boys, and secondly, he had a moustache. But of course, I did not say this to him and told him maybe later. Throughout the night we danced all together in a group. A different friend wanted to go have a smoke so I went to the smoko area on the dance floor. Kyle approached me again and asked to dance. Again, I politely rejected him and told him maybe later. The friend I was with who was smoking perhaps saw her opportunity with him as she randomly started twerking almost on him. He laughed, gave me the 'what the hell' look, and looked away. I don't know what it was but that made me want to dance with him, so I smiled and said let’s go dance. We danced the rest of the night together and we also had our first kiss and I got his Snapchat. After that night we continued to Snapchat each other and he made me feel giddy. A week later I asked him on a date. He asked what I wanted to do and I said something simple and we could just go to the beach. Little did I know he hated the beach, and instead he took me bowling (Kyle does tenpin bowling competitively on a weekly basis so of course he had to show off his skills). I remember I was so nervous and halfway through the date we looked each other in the eyes, this was when I noticed how pretty his green eyes were, and he kissed me. I consider this our first kiss because I was actually sober haha.”
When and where did you get engaged?
“Christmas day at home. The engagement ring was in one the my (Jade) Christmas gifts. I opened the gift last and when i looked at kyle he was on one knee and asked me to marry him.”
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
“Sage/sea glass green and white”
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
“Finally getting married and saying "I do”
