Lucy & Simon's Epic Wedding Bash at Pasadena Sydney
Hey folks, just wrapped up my first wedding gig of the season, and let me tell you, it was a blast capturing Lucy & Simon's big day at the awesome Pasadena Sydney venue.
Now, get this – it wasn't their first rodeo. These lovebirds had not one, but two previous weddings, starting with an elopement in Byron Bay and another shindig in the UK. This time around, they decided to wrap it up Down Under, giving a nod to their Aussie mates and their shared love for the water and sailing.
We kicked off the festivities with a boat ride around Church Point. Bubbles were popped, champagne flowed, and I found myself hanging off the side of the boat to snag some killer shots. A definite highlight in my wedding photography career.
Back at Pasadena, despite a bit of rain, Lucy & Simon's crew were ready and waiting in the garden. Thanks to some trusty umbrellas, the ceremony went off without a hitch. It was a perfect blend of funny, intimate, and special – everyone was totally into it. Simon even dipped Lucy for a passionate embrace at the end – classic move.
Post-ceremony, we jumped into family photos and wedding party portraits, keeping it short and sweet so the couple could dive into the party. And let me tell you, this crew brought some serious energy to the photos.
Into the reception, where the good times kept rolling. There's nothing like walking into a room buzzing with good vibes. I love this part of the gig because it's prime time for snagging some quality candids. Lucy & Simon made a grand entrance to swirling napkins and cheers, followed by heartfelt speeches that had the perfect mix of laughs and "aww" moments.
The night wrapped up with a surprise Salsa dance from the couple that had everyone's jaws on the floor. Twists, lifts, and twirls – they nailed it. The dance kicked off the real party, and I can't think of a better way to end the day. Always a pleasure shooting at Pasadena Sydney – until the next one!
