Tell me about your The Beginning!

“Just another Tinder love story, but we matched on Tinder 3 times over 3 months and the rest is history.

Jai has a strong belief that I unmatched him on Tinder, all 3 times. But the real truth is, I kept creating and deleting my profile. The first time we matched, we spoke for a little about music. The second time we matched, we didn't message at all and the third time we matched, he popped back up with "It's you, again". I don't know what it was about the third time, but hey I guess the third time is really the charm.

Since it was COVID, we spent a lot more time chatting and getting to know each other before meeting for the first time. Our first time meeting each other was on a Friday night at our local cafe - XS Espresso, where we shared hot chocolates and an oven baked cookie dough - we spent the night chatting and didn't get home until 3am.

I saw him a few more times in between, and we shared our first kiss at Mrs Macquarie's Chair at 2am, while it was 2 degrees and horrifyingly cold.

Our first proper date though, was about a month later and we went for burgers at BL in Parramatta. I completely underdressed and Jai offered me his white jumper - which was an ultimate test, as I'm usually always spilling food on myself, but thank god I was able to keep it clean, otherwise he'd hold it over me forever.

Our relationship has always been around talking and food, and we've been inseparable ever since.”

When and where did you get engaged?

“We were on our first holiday together in November 2022 and Jai proposed to me in my favourite place in the entire world.. Central Park, New York City.

I wish I could say that the day was absolutely perfect, and it was, in the end but to be honest, I was such a bitch. It was extremely humid, hot and sticky that day, and I was in such a bad mood because Jai kept making me walk so much and for so long. Little did I know, he was trying to find the perfect spot in Central Park awhile listening to me complain and moan - poor guy :')

Finally, he promised me a little further and then we'd leave the park. We got to this big beautiful tree and Jai wanted to take some photos, I said okay let's go and started walking away down the path. Jai yells out, "turn around" and there he was, on one knee.. my first words were: "are you serious?" with immediate tears. I had no idea!!!! It was very intimate, just us two and my mood changed INSTANTLY and suddenly had all the energy in the world. We ended up spending another 3 hours in the park until we left and made our way to our favourite cookie place, Levain Bakery. Best day of my life ❤️.”

Why did you choose to have your wedding at Macquarie Paradiso?

“Venues are the biggest cost of your wedding day, so it was important for us to find a place that didn't feel like a sausage factory, trying to squeeze you for every dollar and staff that are really passionate about hospitality and making sure your wedding day is perfect for you and your guests. We chose Paradiso Receptions in Liverpool, we loved how inclusive they were with what they provide which would've normally costed extra anywhere else. It was also important for us to stay local and choose a venue close to where we grew up, in Western Sydney.”

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

“Seeing Jai's face at the end of the aisle, finally getting married in front of all of our favourite people and never having to plan a wedding.. ever again!”

Top Tips?

“Spend more time communicating with your partner about what you want your day to be like, don't rush into booking vendors and make sure you stick to your vision, don't get sidetracked about what other people want for your day. Don't sweat the small details and don't let planning a wedding, stress you out. It's one day out of your entire lives together, do whats right for you!”
